It has been a busy lead up to the end of 2024 with a number of installations of new computers for our clients. In case you weren't aware, we offer turnkey solutions for our clients and can deliver and install a new laptop or desktop PC in as little as 2 days, or as with a recent hardware order, within 3 hours just in time for a Director going on a monthly long holiday with a new laptop.
We understand how crucial it is for businesses to have reliable, efficient, and easy-to-use computer setups that cater to the requirements of their team, our focus was on making the entire process effortless, ensuring users can get straight to work without any downtime or hassle.
Installs
A typical onsite install takes just over an hour onsite after some initial offsite work including the setup of user accounts to minimise any downtime.
Our most popular choices for hardware lately have been MSI NUC devices (small 11cm x 11cm square mini PC's with the power of a desktop device) and Laptops connected to a Targus docking station.
One of the benefits of the Targus docking station is that allows for dual monitors, keyboard and mouse along with any other USB devices to connect centrally to it and then the dock utilises a single cable to connect to the laptop to extend the display on the screen, join the keyboard and mouse and to also charge the laptop as well. As you can see from the install above users can choose to have their laptop screen setup as a third monitor. You may have read in one of our previous blogs the improvement to productivity through the use of dual (or more!) monitors is substantial.
When it's time to work from home, our client can simply unplug a single cable
from the laptop and take it with them. The added bonus with using the Targus dock is that it allows you
to keep the manufacturers power charger as a spare for use on the go, saving you the hassle of buying a second one for travel.
The pictures above are an MSI NUC device powering dual monitors with a wireless keyboard and mouse from a transport client and a manufacturing client.
The NUC features the latest Intel i7 Processor along with 32GB of memory and a 1TB hard drive, this spec is perfect for users who need a high performance device for running multiple applications whilst having decent processing power and storage. You can expect this type of build to last 3-4 years based on our recently updated How often should a business replace their computers? blog.
Outcome
A quick install and setup time mean that our clients was ready to go in just over an hour, we have had some amazing feedback about the ease in which our clients can just order a new device and have it installed in a matter of days, meaning they can continue to run their business with less technology hassles.
We also took care of all the packaging, leaving the clients with a clean and ready-to-use workstation.
